Optimum Relative Humidity: 90-95%. Lychee is very sensitive to moisture loss and should be kept in a high humidity environment.

Benefits of CA: Low О₂can reduce skin browning and polyphenoloxidase activity. Elevated СО₂slows the rate of loss of ascorbic acid, acidity and soluble solids.

Benefits of Ethylene Removal: Ethylene removal may, in some cases, retard ripening and reduce respiration.

Mixed Loads: Unknown.

Cautions: Lychee are very sensitive to moisture loss and should be kept in a high humidity environment. О₂less than 1% can cause off-flavors. CO₂greater than 15% can cause off-flavors and a dull gray appearance of the pulp.
